Microsoft has announced that sales of Windows 7 Professional Operating System will end on October 31, 2016. You can still find new PCs with Windows 7 Professional preinstalled; typically, those are on the business side from large OEMs like Dell. This change makes it possible for PC manufacturers to continue to offer new PCs with Windows 7 Pro preinstalled until October 31, 2016. After that date, the OEMs will only be able to sell off there existing inventory of Windows 7 PCs.
Of course you will also be able to purchase a new PC with Windows 10.
All editions of Windows 7 will continue to receive security updates throughout the Extended Support period, which ends on January 14, 2020.
Enterprise deployments are essentially immune from the Microsoft sales life-cycle. In big organizations, IT departments buy Volume License editions of Windows with the Software Assurance add-on, which give them the freedom to deploy a consistent image of whatever Windows version they’ve chosen as their corporate standard.
